Old, rusted, missing hardware, it matters not when you come across an old red barn door being sold in a consignment shop. I call these finds God Winks ;) because they are simply too good to be happening.
Some of my favorite finds are things others walk right past. Vintage hardware such as finials, knobs, hinges, handles, gates, and more.
I restore old things, but other times, I showcase them with all their blemishes. The red barn door is heavy. Until my mountain tree top cabin is complete, I plan to showcase this door through the seasons. Then, it will be relocated onto barn tracks at the cabin.
